Available in: 7mm & Frit
Color Description: The green in 489 comes from un-reduced copper. If reduced, however, the copper produces a range of colors from orange to salmon and red, as well as silver-based hues. The color is in your hands.
Properties: Medium high color saturation, translucent, striking-luster.
Working characteristics: Work hot in neutral to oxidizing flame. Let cool, strike in back of flame. This color can also be preworked in reducing flame, gathered, pulled out, and then used.
Tips: Contains nuclei to enhance the effects from striking. Metallic luster will differ depending on flame chemistry. High copper levels can also be reduced to red.
